THI AUSTRALIA CELEBRATES A DECADE OF IMPACT WITH A GALA EVENT IN SYDNEY

The Hellenic Initiative (THI) Australia is proud to announce its 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner, a unique event celebrating a decade of diaspora generosity towards Greece in its most challenging times. The Gala will take place on Saturday, 22 March 2025, at the prestigious Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.
This significant occasion will be attended by distinguished guests, including representatives of the Hellenic Republic, members of Australia’s Federal and State Parliaments and religious and community leaders. The evening promises to unite THI’s dedicated supporters from across Australia to reflect on a decade of inspiring achievements and unwavering support for Greece.
‘It will be more than a celebration – it will be a unique opportunity to showcase the extraordinary generosity and resilience of the Hellenic diaspora, harnessed by THI during one of Greece’s most challenging periods,’ said Nick Pappas AM, President of THI Australia.
Special Honouree:
One of the special highlights of the evening will be the opportunity to recognise the efforts of one of the nations’ proudest Greek-Australians. A truly remarkable individual who has been integral to our vision and beyond.
Tickets & Table Packages:
- Standard ticket $550 per person and $5,500 per table (10 seats).
- Premium ticket $1,000 per person and $10,000 per premium table (10 seats).
Proceeds will support trusted partner charities aiding Greece.
Entertainment:
Guests will enjoy an exclusive musical performance by Kostas Karafotis and the chance to dance, ensuring a night to remember.

Impact Highlights include:
- In partnership with Doctors of the World Greece, THI Australia has provided essential healthcare services to over 14,000 beneficiaries including more than 26,500 health care visits to the Open Polyclinic in Athens within just four years.
- Through a nine-year collaboration with Boroume Saving Food Saving Lives, THI Australia has facilitated the collection of more than 1,000 tonnes of fresh produce from farmers markets in Athens and Thessaloniki, reducing food insecurity for countless families.

The Hellenic Initiative was founded in 2012 by Andrew N Liveris AO and leading members of the global Greek diaspora who felt compelled to respond to the economic and social crisis in Greece.
Collectively, THI chapters in Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK, have committed over US$20 million in crisis relief and economic and entrepreneurial development.
THI Australia was the first chapter formed in 2014 and its fundraising efforts focus on five main program streams – health, social services, education, employment pathways and arts and culture.
