The Hellenic Initiative (Australia)
10th Anniversary Gala Dinner – RAFFLE TERMS & CONDITIONS
This raffle is being called a draw lottery under the Community Gaming Act 2018 (NSW) from NSW Fair Trading, and is run by The Hellenic Initiative (Australia), benefiting The Hellenic Initiative Limited (ACN 604 033 016) located at Level 8, 10 Bridge Street Sydney 2000 NSW Australia
1. Entry and Registration:
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
1.2 Purchase of a draw lottery ticket is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Entry is open to all permanent residents of New South Wales.
1.4 Anyone under the age of 18 is ineligible to purchase raffle tickets.
1.5 Entrants must complete (or receive assistance from The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) Draw Lottery Ticket Seller in completing) their contact details in the section provided.
1.6 Incomplete entries will be ineligible. Complete entries will include a first and last name, an email address and a telephone number, at a minimum.
1.7 Entrants are not restricted or limited to the number of raffle tickets which may be purchased.
1.8 The drawing of the draw lottery is being conducted independently of all people associated with the conduct of the draw lottery, therefore The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) staff and members of their households are permitted to purchase tickets in the draw lottery.
1.9 Draw lottery ticket sales will commence on Saturday 22nd March 2025 and conclude on Saturday 22nd March 2025.
2. Draw Lottery Draw Process:
2.1 The draw for the winners will take place on Saturday 22nd March 2025. Entrants need to be present to win??.
2.2 Prizes will be drawn simultaneously.
2.3 Winning entries will be drawn manually live on stage at The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner at The Fullerton Hotel, Sydney.
3. Winning Entries:
3.1 The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) reserves the right to request winners to show proof of identification suitable for verification prior to the release of prizes to winners.
3.2 Prize winners will be notified in person OR by phone/by email within 3 business days of the winners being drawn, and the winner’s details will be published on The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) website. A list of all prizes and winners will be displayed.
4. Fulfillment & Delivery/Collection of prizes:
4.1 Prizes must be collected from LOCATION?. Winners must confirm date of collection. Where collection is not possible prizes, the prize winner is to make arrangements for suitable transportation of the prize.
4.2 The prizes will be supplied to the winners within twenty-eight days after the winners are decided. The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) will make all reasonable efforts to locate the winners and supply the prizes.
4.3 In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not accept a prize, that prize is returned to The Hellenic Initiative (Australia), then that prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
4.4 If any prizes remain unclaimed for 1 year, The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) will deal with such prizes in accordance with the law.
4.5 All entries become the property of The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) and may use entrant information to contact you about news, events and general information in relation to the organisation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) at the address shown above.
5. General Conditions:
5.1 Prizes and values are as follows:
5.1.1 1st Prize– 150cc Vespa Scooter – Worth $9,900. Prize comes with 12 months registration and CTP insurance and all government costs.
5.1.2 2nd Prize – 150cc Vespa Scooter – Worth $9,900. Prize comes with 12 months registration and CTP insurance and all government costs.
Total value of prizes, minimum value $20,000. Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of promoting. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
5.2 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
5.3 All images are for promotional purposes only.
5.4 If for any reason the draw lottery is not capable of running as planned, including (but not limited to) tampering or any other causes beyond the control of The Hellenic Initiative (Australia), which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the raffle, The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the draw lottery, subject to any direction given under state permit regulations.
5.5 In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.
5.6 The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) reserves the right to disqualify any person who The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or improper misconduct calculated to interfere with the fair and proper conduct of this draw lottery. The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) legal rights are reserved to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender.
5.7 The Hellenic Initiative (Australia) accepts no responsibility for any kind of loss, damage or liability suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or incurred by any of the prize-winners in relation to the prizes or the draw lottery, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The winners release The Hellenic Initiative (Australia), their related bodies, corporate, affiliates, officers, agents and employees, from all liabilities, loss and damage of any kind arising at any time out of or in connection with the acceptance of, and participation in, the prize or the promotion. Without limiting the foregoing, the released parties will not be liable for any injury, sickness or death, property loss or damage or other direct or indirect loss or damage of any kind, howsoever sustained or incurred, in connection with or arising out of the prizes.
