Ithaca Laundry
Based on the Australian not for profit organisation Orange Sky Laundry in Brisbane, Ithaca Laundry provides an employment program and free laundry services to vulnerable communities across Attica. Our grant over 12 months to Ithaca Laundry enables individuals from vulnerable communities, like Dimitris in the video below, the opportunity to re-enter the workforce in a paid position and gain valuable experience.
Together with volunteers, the drivers manage the mobile laundry services at designated locations each week. Between September 2023 and January 2024 the mobile laundry units provided 13,950 kilos of washed clothes over 1,890 visits by recipients.
